Wow. OK...it's been a long time since I've posted. I read through my previous posts and see that I didn't finish our Adoption Story from 2012. I think most everyone knows that we returned without Bogdan. It's so complicated that I'm not even sure that I understand it.
The good news though, is that we are going back!! This time we will be adopting Liliya, a lovely 15 year old girl and we will also be attempting, with the Lord's help, to adopt Bogdan.
Our first order of business at this time is an Adoption Benefit to raise funds. It is Friday, August 23rd at 6pm at our church, Five Points Community Church (3411 E. Walton Blvd., Auburn Hills). We will be serving Movie Food, a Magic Show and watching a Movie. It is going to be a great night and we are looking forward to it.
Our dossier was submitted to the Ministry of Social Policy in Ukraine on July 22nd. Things are taking much longer this year. Last year the waiting time was around 20 business days and then you would receive your MSP appointment, which was about 2 weeks from the time of your approval. Now most people are waiting about 12 weeks between submission and appointment date.
